About the Author
Joseph L. Wetchler, PhD, is a professor and Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana.  He also is the author of numerous journal articles on family therapy supervision, family therapy for child and adolescent problems, couple therapy for substance abuse, and the self of the therapist.  Dr. Wetchler has been a co-investigator on a large project funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse to study couple therapy approaches for substance abusing women.  He regularly consults to social service agencies and therapists in private practice, and maintains an active couple and family therapy practice in Northwest Indiana.  Dr. Wetchler is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Indiana.

La noche que agarré este libro no pude soltarlo hasta que mis ojos leyeron la última oración. Es un libro que describe la simpleza de la vida, y los sentimientos que a todos nos inundan más de una vez. Paulo Coelho describe estas cosas, junto con la importancia de seguir adelante y luchar por nuestros sueños, con una pureza indescriptible, una pureza que te llena y te contagia de esas ganas de vivir, de abrirte a las cosas más importantes que te da la vida. El dice que cuando una persona quiere realmente algo el univerzo entero conspira para que pueda realizar su sueño, lo que no quiere decir que todo va a venir de arriba, sino que tenés que luchar, pero que al final va a valer la pena, porque no solo vas a cumplir tu sueño, sino que vas a llevarte la satifacción de haerlo hecho y lo aprendido por el camino. A mi me cambio la vida

Este libro lo lei cuando estaba en una crucijada personal y espiritual en mi vida. Lo he leido en el original, en portugues, tambien en espanol y en ingles. Me hizo examinar mi propia vida de una forma que nunca antes habia considerado y me ayudo encontrar las fuerzas para tomar unas decisiones para cambiar el camino en que iba mi vida. Hoy en dia es un libro que aun recomiendo para todos-amigos y estudiantes. Desde la primera vez que lo lei, lo he regalado a unos 20 de mis estudiantes para su graduacion del colegio. Lo recomiendo para todo el mundo, no importa si es cristiano, judio, musulman, porque tiene lecciones valiosas para todos nosotros.

Although I didn't end up needing this book, I had bought it for a Summer philosophy course. The book was in great condition with no marks. I was very pleased and even though I ended up switching classes I still enjoy the content of the book!

The Wrong Premise

The introduction claims that to get a picture of any philosopher's thoughts, it is usually best to approach him from a single representative work, but that Hegel is an exception.
That premise is rather shaky at best, most of Hegel's influence has come from his Phenomenology of Spirit, and while some still claim that it is an immature work which he later abandoned, it still makes for a better introduction than this volume.
And then there's the selections. for The Phenomenology, the editors chose to use the Baille translation, which is quite unfortunate. English usage has shifted dramatically form its stilted 1931 usage, and even so, it is full of inconsistencies, so that Hegel's technical use of the German is lost.
The inclusion of the Logic defies it. While reading The Phenomenology may, like Ulysses, require a guide, The Logic is more like Finnegan's wake--completely intractable. Especially to introductory students to which this volume is obviously aimed.
If your interest is Philosophy, read The Phenomenology. If your interest is Politics, read Philosophy of Right. If you're ambitious, and have a lot of time on your hands, read both.

Grotesque

This book is an unmitigated disaster, and Harper Torchbooks should be ashamed of themselves for foisting it onto an unsuspecting public. The principle difficulty arises from the fact that it is impossible to distinguish the words of Hegel from those of Weiss, the editor. No reliable visual cue is provided for the reader, who sometimes finds he has plowed through 5 pages of "Hegel", only to discover they were actually 5 pages of Weiss! To make matters, worse, sections begin and end in an arbitrary fashion that is completely disorienting. In some cases, it genuinely seems pages have been inadvertently omitted! As a result, this "book" is unreadable. This is particularly annoying, since even when Hegel is presented clearly, he is challenging. For Harper Torchbooks to have mutilated his work in this grotesquely ill-designed book is a kind of intellectual crime. If you value your time and money, avoid this book!

Real problems, real drama, real LOVE

The best sign of a good book is when you read the last word, close the book, and sigh.

Three Times Blessed did not disappoint and fans will be sighing with satisfaction after they finish Lori Copeland's latest epic romance.

You are going to want to take this book everywhere you go, so you can pick it up at a moments notice. Very well worth my time and money.

Ms. Copeland did not seem to care about this book. The book did not show much of the same happiness and detail of book one of the series.

She of course had an accident the same way s book one, to start with and of course the hero was angry about that. Her horse got spooked by lightening just like book one of the series. Now could the author really not think of another way to start the book?

There was no real point of which the hero and heroine got together at all, He was too busy moping all along the story.

Sloppy, sloppy writing. I had to give this two stars, because it was better than bok three of the series. Not much better but a bit better.

Lacking Depth

I was disappointed in this second book of Ms Copeland's "Three Times Blessed", because I never could find any real feelings between Audrey Pride and Eli Gray. Why she kept mooning after him, I don't know.

Also, the first book was funny, but this one wasn't. It lacked depth, as though the author was in a hurry to get it done.

I will read her third book "One True Love", and hope she picks up on the above relationship of Audrey and Eli. If she doesn't, I will really be disappointed.
